“In medical school, I chose to be an eye surgeon because I wanted to work with my hands and have a direct impact on a patient’s quality of life. He loves spending time with his wife, Elisabeth, and their son, Maxwell. He has spent time abroad, including a year of humanitarian work in Peru, as well as time performing corneal transplants for underserved patients in the Dominican Republic. Hartman is Board Certified and a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Hartman is excited to return with his family to middle Tennessee to continue his wonderful career with The Sees Group.ĭr. He went on to complete subspecialty training in cornea and external disease at the University of Colorado in Denver. Following medical school, he completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.
